Our hotel – and your place in Paradise

We’re based at the friendly Coral Azur hotel, famed for its intimate and personal service. Located directly on one of the island’s many beaches, it offers a tennis court, rooms with private balconies and a sea-view pool with spectacular views of the Indian Ocean and its inspiring sunsets.

The hotel is set in a lush garden, with palm trees and exotic flowers while the en-suite rooms are all spacious, and have air conditioning, satellite TV, minibar, safes – all the amenities that you’d expect from a 3 star plus hotel.

Floor-to-ceiling windows provide either a garden or a full sea view.

The hotel has recently undergone a refurbishment, and this has included adding a spa to its facilities where massages and other body treatments are offered throughout the day.

Our prices are on a half-board basis, which includes a sumptuous breakfast and excellent buffet dinner every night with a different style of cooking from traditional native Creole dishes, Indian, Chinese and European menu and, as the manager of the hotel, the excellent Francesco, is Italian – there is one night of Italian specialities.

As you would expect, our programme in Mauritius includes a relaxed social atmosphere with live entertainment most evenings reflecting the multi-cultural quality of the island. You’ll find the sailing (and diving centre) at the hotel jetty – where our staff will get your choice of boat ready for you and look after you in every way. Please note that at certain times of the year the hotel does get booked up – it really is worth trying to make your booking as early as possible.

Social Life and Entertainment

You’ll be staying at the Coral Azur hotel on a half board basis, which includes a wide variety of evening meals and themed nights that show off the various cultures on the island, reflecting the Indian, Chinese, European and Creole heritage of Mauritius. Our staff will make sure you’re looked after at our informal cocktail nights and most weeks there will be a dinner under the stars together with all our clients and friends.

If you’re lucky enough to be visiting us over Christmas or New Year rest assured that you will be well fed and entertained with the special Gala evenings arranged for these special holiday periods.

The small town of Grand Baie is a short and inexpensive taxi ride away if you want to go shopping or experience some of the bars and night clubs that stay open after our hotel has quietened down for the night. Our staff will always be happy to advice you on the best places to visit.
